Exploring... San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk Hotel, Paesanos, & Go Rio Cruises + 3 tips when visiting San Antonio (San Antonio Road Trip Part 3)

San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk |
As our last day of the road trip came along, Sunday, we decided to get a quick breakfast from the Starbucks inside the hotel and check out what the hotel had to offer.
Once we got our Starbucks, we went down to find the outside patio that we had seen from our room. When we finally found our way to the patio after taking the wrong elevator and getting lost, we ended up finding out that they also had a Fitness Center, a Recreation Area, and an Indoor/Outdoor Swimming Pool.
If we would of known that they had those amenities sooner, we would have definitely gone earlier to check them out. We went to the patio to enjoy the outside weather and finish off our Starbucks before we started out on our last day of exploring the city of San Antonio.
Once we were done with our Starbucks, we went back to the Shops at Rivercenter to buy more souvenirs. Afterwards we went to the Riverwalk to try and eat brunch but we were too late. The restaurants along the Riverwalk only offered lunch so we settled on getting pizza at Paesanos.
We ordered:
Classic Pizza
Pepperoni
Grilled Chicken Pizza
Grilled Chicken with Artichokes, Basil Pesto, Feta Cheese, and Mozzarella
Grilled Chicken with Artichokes, Basil Pesto, Feta Cheese, and Mozzarella
The pizza was delicious, I was actually worried that I wasn't going to like it since I normally don't get chicken pizza but I'm glad I tried it. Of course we couldn't leave San Antonio without getting on a Go Rio Cruise riverboat which is always a must when visiting San Antonio.

It's always such a neat experience seeing the Riverwalk from the view of a riverboat. The Go Rio Cruise gives a different sight to how the city of San Antonio looks. As we said goodbye to San Antonio, we were able to check out a nice mural and see some pretty horse carriages around the city.
The mural done by Los Otros Murals is located on the wall of the Fiesta Store. |

Once we hit the road to come back to DFW, we had to stop by Austin to try the Sprinkles there.
The cupcakes were amazing like always and I love how they had the art decor of "Keep Austin..." 👍
Overall, my road trip to San Antonio was great and tbh I think San Antonio has always been my top city to visit. There's so much to do in that city that one can never get bored from exploring that city. Additionally, I would love to share my 3 tips when visiting San Antonio, especially during the summer time.
- Stay Hydrated. Since San Antonio is mainly hot and humid, you're going to be sweating and needing to drink lots of water. I would recommend that you go and buy a pack of water bottles and carry one or two bottles with you in an insulated tote. That way you don't have to stop and constantly buy water that is overpriced cause you're thirsty.
- Wear Comfortable Shoes. You're going to be walking around for hours checking out the Riverwalk and tourist attractions so you need to wear comfortable walking shoes. I personally wore my Nike Flyknit Racer Indigo shoes that were giving to me as a gift and honestly the shoes felt so light that it made my walking easier.
- Look for Coupons Books and Actually Use Them. There's always stands near tourist locations with pamphlets of tourist attractions as well as coupon books. While I was checking out some pamphlets from one of the stands, I ended up getting two coupon books: the San Antonio Coupon Book and the Passport to Adventure. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until after I left San Antonio that I had coupons inside of those booklets of places that I visited and could have used. I could have saved some money if I would have paid attention but I didn't 😞
Lastly, here's my minute vlog of my San Antonio Road Trip 2018. I look forward to hopefully more road trips in the future 😊 Take Care and God bless 💜
